Week 4: Workout Challenge

Hi everyone! I made it to week four of working out 3-4x a week for 20 minutes! I am so proud of myself! I am not sure if I will continue to blog about it after this week, but I might.

I will let you know that I have a goal to run 1 mile in late November! 🙂 I know it doesn’t sound like a lot, but it is a lot to me because I don’t run. I’m actually going to start practicing the route I plan to take pretty soon here. I want to walk the 1 mile route and eventually walk it and run it in sprits to practice for the 1 mile run. I’m hoping I can build up the endurance at a reasonable pace.

Monday, September 23rd, 2025-

Rest Day!

I know my rest day is typically on Wednesdays, but I went on vacation and completely forgot to workout on Monday.

Tuesday, September 24th, 2024-

Today I did a 20 minute dumbbell workout. I think this is the longest dumbbell workout I have done so far. Normally, I feel really strong when I workout, and although I felt strong at some points, I didn’t feel it as much as normal. I think I will be ready to go from 3lbs to 5lbs in October. The dumbbell workout didn’t feel challenging, which is good. I do feel like I will most definitely be sore from this workout though.

Wednesday, September 25th, 2024-

Rest Day!

Unfortunately, I injured my ankle today. I tripped and twisted my ankle bad enough that I think I should take a break. I have a decent size bruise on my ankle bone. Thankfully my ankle doesn’t hurt as bad as I thought it would. Hopefully I can workout tomorrow. If my ankle still hurts, I will probably do another 20 minute dumbbell workout.

Thursday, September 26th, 2024-

Okay, I for sure thought I wasn’t going to make this workout today. I just finished at 8:58p.m., which is highly abnormal for me. I am normally heading for bed around 9:00. I’m very thankful that I did it last minute versus not at all. I worked out for 20 minutes. I did some dumbbell. Around five minutes. The rest was a mix of mainly cardio, and some stretching.

Friday, September 27th, 2024-

Rest Day!

I didn’t make it! This week I only worked out twice. It’s been mainly due to my physical health. I think my body needs to rest. My back, knee, and ankle all hurt. I definitely need to rest so that I don’t injure myself any further!

Edit: Today is Sunday, September 29th, 2024. I went on the scale and it read 180.6! 🙂
