Becoming a Real Estate Developer Post 2:

For those of you who haven’t read my previous post, I recently purchased 1.16 acres of land! To be more specific, I am making monthly payments on this land since I couldn’t pay for it all up front. In the last post, I was waiting for the seller to get back to me with my new contract to sign. Update: he did get back to me, and I signed the contract!

I figured my second post would be about getting my land surveyed and my third post would be about me clearing the land. However, I got one price quote for $4,500, and I that is far too much for me right now. I also think it was overpriced, as I asked around and it seems like $2,500 is more typical.

With all that being said, I decided to take a different approach…

Edit: I actually decided to give back the land. In the end, the lot was too far away and too remote. I plan on saving up money and buying a lot that is in an ideal location for commercial real estate.

Sorry this blog post is short and all over the place! 🙂
