Week 3: Workout Challenge

My goal is to workout for 20 minutes, 3-4x this week. The last two weeks were successful! I worked out four times each week so far. I’m hoping I can workout four times this week as well. However, if I only workout three times, it is still a win, and i would considered it an accomplished week. 🙂

Monday, September 16th, 2024-

I did a 15 minute dumbbell workout today. It went by so fast! And in a good way. 🙂 I feel like I am getting so much stronger. I decided that I am going to increase my weights to a set of 3lbs to a set of 5lbs in October. I don’t want to transition to fast to a higher weight because I do think this one is good for me right now, but I think I will upgrade to a set of 5lbs if it continues to go well with the set I have now.

After my 15 minute dumbbell workout, I decided to do a 5 minute wall sit to strengthen my hamstrings to help my knees because one of the exercises in the dumbbell workout actually ended up hurting one of my knees. Well, the plan was to do a 5 minute wall sit, but I could only do one minute, so I decided to do a dance workout for the remaining four minutes.

Tuesday, September 17th, 2024-

Rest Day! 🙂

I normally rest on Wednesdays, but I feel achy today and like my body could use a rest. I also weighed myself today (which I normally reserve for Wednesdays) and I am 183.4 lbs, which is the same as last Wednesday.

Wednesday, September 18th, 2024

Okay, so today is the first day of this challenge that’s been going on for three weeks that I didn’t feel motivated to workout. For whatever reason, I just really didn’t feel like it today. I was definitely counting down the minutes with this workout. Thankfully, I did do it! I did a knee friendly workout for 20 minutes. Hopefully tomorrow is different and I feel more motivated.

Thursday, September 19th, 2024

I didn’t feel like working out today again, but I did! I did a 15 minute dumbbell workout, which made me feel good. I know I said this before, but I always feel proud of myself when I do a dumbbell workout. After the dumbbell workout I did a 5 minute workout.

I will say as soon as I started I felt so much happier and more motivated. Unlike yesterday I wasn’t counting down every minute.

Friday, September 20th, 2024

Okay, I worked out for 19 minutes today. I couldn’t get the last minute in because my stomach started to hurt in a strange way, and I didn’t want to make myself sick. However, I still consider today a win! I did a knee friendly workout on YouTube.
